Bathing peacefully in Cala Justell

This cove, also called Gestell, is a completely natural sandy area for two reasons. Firstly, because it is included in the Protected Natural Area of La Rojala-Platja del Torn, an area comprising a small stretch of coastline that maintains one of the most interesting beaches and stretches of coastline in the south of Catalonia. The second, because it is a beach without services and, therefore, you will only find sea, sand and vegetation.

It is also located in a catalogued wetland area that has been restored in recent years. Precisely, this initiative has enabled the diversification of the aquatic plant communities, which offer a wide range of refuge for species such as the samarugo, which is being reintroduced into the ecosystem.

The composition of the beach is quite varied along its approximately 170 metres in length and 40 metres in width. Between the dune promontories, fine golden sand alternates with pebbles and rock. The waters, which are accessed via a relatively steep slope, are calm and have excellent transparency.
