The natural area of the mouth of the river Llastres

The mouth of the river Llastres is a Mediterranean wetland area, catalogued by the Generalitat de Catalunya and located in the Xarxa Natura 2000 (Nature Network) 'Litoral meridional tarraconense'.

As for the fauna, it is home to a population of fartet (a fish in danger of extinction) and is a refuge and transit area for different migratory birds. From the wooden footbridge that crosses it and connects the town of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant with that of Miami-Platja, you can see, among other plants, reeds, tamarisks and rushes.
